Tom Clancy passes on at 66

Novelist Tom Clancy has died at the age of 66.
The legendary author of The Hunt For Red October, Patriot Games, and Rainbow Six passed away in a Baltimore hospital Tuesday night, according to his publisher.
Tom Clancy was the undisputed king of the military thriller, but his legacy doesn’t end with books.

Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and more – some of the top-selling video games of all time – have been inspired by his work; many even bear his name.

His main character, CIA analyst Jack Ryan, has been played on the big screen by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and soon Chris Pine.

He will be remembered for generations to come.
